Internet Giant Google buys MetaWeb a Database company
Great news from google is that it had purchased database company Metaweb to help improve its search engine.
The news in terms of transaction were not disclosed.The source says that google will maintain an open database of things in the world.
"Working together, we want to improve search and make the web richer and more meaningful for everyone".
Metaweb is a San Fransico-based, which was founded in 2005, maintains an open database called Freebase of more than 12 million items, including movies,books,tv shows and so on.
Google decide to buy spree latel, snapping up a number of small firms but also announcing the US$700 million purchase this month.
