April 7, 2010 - Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has launched two new variants of Hyundai i20 - the Era and the Sportz. These variants are avialable with both petrol and diesel options. Era is the base variant of the car while Sportz will fill the bridge the gap between i20 Asta and Magna. The new Hyundai i20 is loaded with an array of smart features which are Fully Automatic Temperature Control (FATC) system and in-built USB port (in Magna) and several other attractive features like a burglar alarm, steering wheel with audio remote and passenger vanity mirror (in Sportz and Asta).

Hyundai i20 powered by the 1.2L, 1196cc Kappa PL Petrol five Speed manual transmission gearbox also performs with stimulating effect and gives better performance. This 1.2L, In Line petrol engine delivers a maximum power of 80 PS at 5200rpm and a maximum torque of 11.4kgm at 4000rpm.
Hyundai i20, with 1.4L CRDI diesel engine with new six speed manual transmission gearbox performs excellently and produces a maximum power of 90PS at 4000 rpm and a maximum torque of 22.4kgm at 1750~2750 rpm.
